Community Activities: 

  • Board of Directors, King County Collaborative Law (formerly known as Washington Collaborative Law), which is a non-profit association of lawyers and allied professionals who believe that resolving legal conflicts through the use of a protocol that promotes respectful communication and negotiation produces results that are in the best interests of our clients.

  • 2007 Board of Directors, Lake Washington Human Resource Association. With approximately 1,000 members, LWHRA is the state's largest and most active chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management

  • 2004 - 2005 Chair,  Solo and Small Practice Section of the King County Bar Association. 

  • 2004 - 2005 Member, Rules of Professional Conduct Committee of the Washington State Bar Association. The committee considers and responds to inquiries arising under the Rules of Professional Conduct and may, upon request, express its opinion to the WSBA Board of Governors concerning proper professional conduct.

  • 2001 - 2006 Member, Programs Committee of the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Northwest. Mentor to the team that produced the December 2006 program on the future of television. Led the team that produced the October 2004 program on alternative energy. The MIT Enterprise Forum is a volunteer, non-profit organization that gives emerging technology-based companies the opportunity to present their strategies to panels of experts in public forums. The northwest chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum is one of 24 worldwide chapters of the MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc., which is affiliated with the Alumni Association of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
